The Hawaii Pipeline Safety Association (HPSA) includes representatives from liquid petroleum transmission pipeline operators and the local natural gas transmission and distribution company on O'ahu and the Big Island of Hawai'i. The HPSA provides a unified approach to pipeline damage prevention and public awareness, including direct mail services to local businesses and residents, development of public service announcements, and face to face liaison activities with excavators, emergency responders, and public officials. The HPSA partners with Pipeline Association for Public Awareness (PAPA) who provides best-in-class direct mail brochures and training materials to Hawaii excavators, emergency responders, and public officials.
